Percussive Unity Dance Workshop with Will Roboski and Geoffrey Steele

Percussive “Unity” Dance: To bring to life the rhythms from around the world through percussive dance. Co-taught by Will Roboski and Geoffrey Steele of Ignite Variety Entertainment Show. Experience a sampling of dance from American Clogging, Canadian Step Dance, Celtic Step Dance, Tap, Line Dancing, and Body Percussion. Together, through UNITY, we will drum up positive energy and raise our vibrations!

About the Performer:
Will Roboski is a dance teacher, choreographer, and performing artist. 

Roboski performs around West Virginia and has collaborated with a variety of groups such as The Charleston Ballet, the Celtic Calling Festival, Friends of Old-Time Music and Dance, Heron Valley Band, Ignite Variety Entertainment Show, Mountain Lakes Preservation Alliance, SpiritWing Dance Ensemble, Tannahill Weavers,The Augusta Heritage Center, and with The Davisson Brothers’ Band. 

Roboski currently directs and teaches the Appalachian Ensemble at Davis & Elkins College which offers students scholarships to tour and perform traditional music and dance regionally.

Geoffrey Steele is a 32 time national champion in Percussive Dance and American Clogging. Champion in solo freestyle, precision line, group freestyle, and A Capella are just some of his accolades. 

Geoffrey has performed at the Grand Ol’ Opry, The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, The Kentucky Derby and Opryland USA. He has danced with the members of “All That”(semi-finalists on “America’s Got Talent”, “The Bailey Mountain Cloggers” of NC, and “Leather n Lace”(featured performers for the Atlanta Olympics).

Geoffrey is an extremely skilled dancer and choreographer in all forms of dance and has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, tap, contemporary, Hip-Hop, and World Dance. He is the proud owner of Phoenix Academy of the Arts and the Manager and Artistic Director of Ignite Entertainment Variety Show.
